The programme is designed for students interested in studying, teaching, and promoting the Italian language, literature, and culture.
Italian language and literature are at the core of the curriculum, studied in depth from their origins to the contemporary era.
The language, its history, structures, and varieties are explored through philological and critical analysis of literary texts.
The traditional objectives of class L-10 have been reconsidered in light of contemporary challenges, starting from the transformations brought about by digital technologies in textual studies.
Critical knowledge of the humanities is complemented by digital tools and technical skills from the sciences, fostering development that integrates knowledge, personal growth, and practical skills.
The international and intercultural outlook of our University is expressed through the interaction of Italian and international students studying together, encouraging the exchange of languages and cultures.
An additional asset is the teaching of foreign languages, including even less commonly taught languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
A significant opportunity available to students is the possibility of undertaking internships within the Italian language and culture courses offered by our University, as well as at other organizations and institutions, including at an international level.
The study programme includes the acquisition of specific ECTS credits required by the scientific-disciplinary sectors necessary for admission to the teaching qualification for Italian as a foreign language in Italian public schools (Class A-23, Italian Language for Students of Foreign Languages). Those who wish to complete the acquisition of the necessary credits may continue this path with the ITAS master's degree programme.
Students have the opportunity to undertake an internship within Italian language and culture courses for foreigners offered by the University, as well as at other institutions and private organisations engaged in the promotion and enhancement of cultural content.
