Umbria’s universities united for peace: Università degli Studi and Università per Stranieri reaffirm and strengthen their shared commitment
The University of Perugia and the University for Foreigners of Perugia were the only universities representing Italy at the VI University Presidents for Peace Conference, held on 6 August in Hiroshima (Japan) and organised by Hiroshima University. The event was attended by Rectors and representatives from universities around the world.

The Rector of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, Valerio De Cesaris, signed a cooperation agreement on 23 June in Berlin with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Istituto Italiano di Studi Germanici, launching a multi-year collaboration dedicated to teaching, research, and academic mobility.

Professor Sabrina Stroppa, Director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature and Arts in the World, and Professor Borbala Samu, lecturer in language education, are visiting Tbilisi for training sessions with primary and secondary school Italian teachers in Georgia, in collaboration with the Minerva Education Hub.
Teaching Italian, poetry and podcasts are the main topics of the sessions, which have been officially recognised by the Georgian Ministry of Education as part of teacher training activities.
