Because here you can feel an international atmosphere
Italian and international students meet every day, share experiences, educational paths, and study together in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
The focus on the international dimension is also demonstrated by the in-depth study of English, Spanish, and French, as well as the study of non-European languages most in demand in the job market: Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic.
The university journey at the University for Foreigners of Perugia allowed me to study in a multicultural environment and take part in important educational programs, such as Erasmus. In my third year, I began my internship at the University’s communications office, and this gave me the opportunity to acquire new skills and participate in important international events.

Because we offer plenty of international mobility opportunities
Thanks to specific agreements and collaboration protocols established with universities around the world, our students can choose to undertake mobility experiences for study or internships at European and non-European universities.
Students enrolled in “double degree” programs have the opportunity to spend part of their degree course abroad, at the partner university, obtaining a qualification recognized in both countries upon completion of their studies.

Because we are a small-sized university
The University for Foreigners of Perugia is a small, student-oriented campus. Studying in an environment of this size means building solid and lasting relationships with classmates and professors.
I studied Advertising Communication at Stranieri, a small university where everyone knows each other and where, in class, between courses or at the cafeteria, you can make friends with students from different countries and cultures who enrich you. Before graduating, I did an internship at the Communication Office, thanks to which I was able to approach the audiovisual world through unique, formative, and fun experiences!

I attended the three-year program in international and advertising communication, which gave me a varied foundation in the world of communication across different media. I am now continuing in the advertising field with the master’s degree, which has few students, so the professors are more attentive to us and often propose group projects so we can put theoretical knowledge into practice! But the real strength of Stranieri is the many unusual opportunities it offers: I studied Japanese for two years with amazing native teachers, thanks to an internship at the university’s communication office I helped create several video projects working alongside industry professionals, and now I have won a grant for extra-Erasmus mobility to go to Australia! One piece of advice: look for opportunities and don’t be afraid to try new experiences and meet new people!

Because we are in a beautiful city in the heart of Italy
The University is located in Perugia, one of Italy’s most enchanting cities thanks to its wealth of artistic, historical, and monumental heritage.
Situated in central Italy, between Rome and Florence, Perugia is the capital of Umbria, a region considered the green heart of Italy due to its unspoiled nature, stunning landscapes, and numerous protected parks.
The city is characterized by a rich annual schedule of events and festivals, making a stay enjoyable in every month of the year.
Perugia is a lively, dynamic university city with a strong presence of young people and international students.
The city offers a packed calendar of cultural events and internationally renowned festivals such as Umbria Jazz, the International Journalism Festival, Eurochocolate, and Umbria Libri.
I have just obtained my master’s degree in Italian for teaching to foreigners. During my studies at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, I was able to enrich my CV thanks to many internship and training opportunities, which allowed me to learn new skills and gain valuable work experience. In particular, the internship as a tutor for Chinese students was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my university career. Finally, I appreciated the multicultural environment offered by the university, in which I felt at home.

Because finding a job after university is important too!
Bachelor’s and master’s degree programs aim to train professionals ready to enter the job market.
I had the opportunity to enrich myself greatly thanks to studying in a multicultural environment. One of my University’s greatest strengths was the numerous internship and traineeship opportunities offered, which allowed me to grow a lot by putting into practice the knowledge I gained during my university career.
