As part of its online Italian language courses, the University offers students AIDI, an artificial intelligence-based system designed to support language learning.
AIDI allows students to interact with a conversational assistant and to practise Italian through situations and scenarios aligned with the language proficiency level of their degree programme.
The system has been configured and developed with input from the University and is being progressively improved through the scientific and educational activities of University researchers.
Artificial intelligence serves as a learning support tool and does not replace the lecturer nor the assessment activities included in the study programme.
The artificial intelligence service operates with a Zero Data Retention (ZDR) configuration, designed to prevent the provider from retaining any content transmitted via API beyond what is strictly necessary for the requested processing.
