Would you like to travel and explore Umbria with a single discounted subscription?
Students enrolled in the academic year 2026-2027 can take advantage of the UMBRIA VAI pass and travel unlimitedly on the local public transport services of the Umbria Region, which include:
urban and suburban local public bus services
Sansepolcro – Terni and Perugia Ponte San Giovanni – Perugia Sant’Anna railway lines (formerly Ferrovia Centrale Umbra)
Minimetrò
Orvieto funicular
The pass may be requested by students enrolled at the University for Foreigners of Perugia who belong to the following categories:
- Bachelor’s degree programmes
- Master’s degree programmes
- Incoming Erasmus programme
- International students attending Italian language and culture courses
- PhD programmes
- First- and second-level master’s programmes
- Advanced training courses
- Teacher training courses
- Single courses
To obtain the pass, students must first apply via the Esse3WEB platform of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia and pay the fee of €70.00 through Pago PA, either at the time of enrolment/registration or afterwards.
In order to issue the pass, the purchasing student must:
access the TPLWEB Portal using SALGO app credentials, or register if not already in possession of them;
create the virtual card by uploading a passport photo, selecting the UNIPG AND UNIPG STRA Profile (Already paid via PagoPA), entering the Italian Tax Code (this is required only once to verify the €70.00 payment), and providing the phone number of the device that uses the SALGO app;
select the Umbria Vai subscription, indicating the phone number of the mobile device on which the subscription will be displayed (only one phone number can be associated with a single device) and complete the issuance process at no additional cost.
Subsequently, the student must log in to the SALGO app and authenticate with their credentials: the subscription will be available in the “MY TICKETS” section of the app.
Undergraduate and Graduate Degree Programme Students
To obtain the pass, you must first request it via the Esse3WEB platform of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia and pay the fee of €70.00 through Pago PA notification, either at the time of enrolment/registration or at a later date.
In order to receive the pass, the purchasing student must:
- log in to the TPLWEB Portal using the SALGO app credentials, or register if they do not already have them;
- create the virtual card by uploading an ID photo, selecting the UNIPG E UNIPG STRA Profile (Already paid via PagoPA), entering their Tax Code (to be done only once, to verify payment of the €70.00 fee), and providing the phone number of the device used with the SALGO app;
- select the Umbria Vai subscription, enter the phone number of the mobile device on which to display the subscription (only one phone number associated with a single device can be selected), and complete the issuance process at no further cost.
Afterwards, the student must open the SALGO app, log in with their credentials: the subscription will be available in the “MY PASSES” section of the app.
To obtain the pass, you must contact the Language Courses Office at corsidilingua@unistrapg.it and request the issuance of the €70.00 payment notice, specifying your student ID number (LINXXXXXX).
In order to receive the pass, the purchasing student must:
- Log in to the TPLWEB Portal using SALGO app credentials or, if you do not have them, proceed with registration;
- Create the virtual card by uploading an ID photo, selecting the UNIPG E UNIPG STRA Profile (Already paid on PagoPA), entering the Tax Code indicated on the PagoPA payment slip (this operation only needs to be done once to verify payment of the €70.00 fee), and providing the mobile phone number of the device on which you will use the SALGO app;
- Select the Umbria Vai subscription, indicating the phone number of the mobile device on which the pass will be displayed (only one phone number can be associated with a single device), and complete the issuing process at no additional cost.
Afterwards, the student must access the SALGO app and log in with their credentials: the subscription will be available in the “MY TICKETS” section of the app.
The pass is issued via the SALGO App, upon payment of the required fee, within five working days following payment.
The UMBRIA VAI pass is valid from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.
