Italian Culture Courses

Italian culture courses

Within the Italian language and culture courses, we also offer culture courses open not only to students enrolled in language courses, but also to enthusiasts and anyone interested—Italians and non-Italians alike, from various academic backgrounds.

Courses are delivered in person, but can also be attended remotely (synchronous sessions), allowing for active student participation and interaction with instructors (with the exception of off-site art lessons, which are reserved for students attending in person).

Each course lasts one month (12 hours, with a flexible weekly schedule) and is activated with a minimum of 8 participants.

Active courses in the July – August – September 2026 term

Course Fees

The registration fee for cultural courses is €150.

Students already enrolled in a language course are entitled to a 50% reduction and therefore pay €75.

The minimum entry requirement for courses is level B2 of the CEFR.

International students must provide a certificate or proof of Italian language proficiency (at least level B2) issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia or an equivalent institution.

Applications from students at levels A2 and B1 may be considered subject to specific authorisation from the Director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature and Arts in the World, by sending an email to didattica.lingua@unistrapg.it.

At the end of the course, students may request a certificate of attendance.
The certificate will be issued only after the Student Administration Office has verified regular attendance (at least 70% of the classes).

In C1 and C2 level courses, the Italian language proficiency certificate can only be obtained by attending 3 language courses plus 2 monthly culture courses (chosen from the list) until the macro level is completed.
