Italian Culture Courses

Italian culture courses

As part of the Italian language and culture courses, the University also offers culture courses open not only to students enrolled in language courses, but also to enthusiasts and anyone interested, both Italian and international, from various disciplines.

Courses are offered in person, but distance participation (live online sessions) is also available, allowing students to engage actively and interact with instructors (except for off-site art classes, which are reserved for in-person students).

Courses run on a monthly basis (12 hours with a variable weekly schedule) and are activated with a minimum of 8 participants.

Courses offered in the April – May – June 2026 term

Course Fees

The registration fee for cultural courses is €150.

Students already enrolled in a language course are entitled to a 50% reduction in the course fee and therefore pay €75.

The minimum level required for admission to the courses is B2 of the CEFR.

International students must provide a certificate or attestation of Italian language proficiency (at least at B2 level) issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia or another equivalent institution.

Applications from students at A2 and B1 levels may be considered subject to specific authorisation from the Director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature and Arts in the World, by sending an email to didattica.lingua@unistrapg.it.

At the end of the course, students may request a certificate of attendance.
The certificate will be issued only after the Student Administration Office has verified that at least 70% of the classes have been attended.

In C1 and C2 level courses, the Italian language proficiency certificate can only be obtained by attending 3 language courses and 2 monthly culture courses (chosen from those listed) until completion of the macro level.
