Italian Culture Courses

Italian culture courses

In addition to Italian language and culture courses, culture courses are also offered and are open not only to students enrolled in language courses, but also to enthusiasts and anyone interested, both Italian and international, from various disciplines.

Courses are delivered in person, but may also be attended remotely (synchronous lessons), allowing active participation and direct interaction with instructors (with the exception of off-site art lessons, which are reserved for on-campus students).

Courses last one month (12 hours, with varying weekly schedules) and are activated with a minimum of 8 participants.

Courses offered in the July – August – September 2026 term

Course Fees

The enrolment fee for culture courses is €150.

Students already enrolled in a language course are entitled to a 50% reduction and therefore pay €75.

The minimum level required for admission to the courses is B2 of the CEFR.

International students must provide a certificate or proof of Italian language proficiency (at least level B2) issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia or by another equivalent institution.

Applications from students at A2 and B1 levels may be submitted for specific authorisation by the Director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature and Arts in the World, by sending an email to didattica.lingua@unistrapg.it.

At the end of the course, students may request a certificate of attendance.
The certificate will be issued only after the Student Administration Office has verified that attendance requirements have been met (at least 70% of classes).

In C1 and C2 level courses, the certificate of Italian language proficiency can only be obtained by attending three language courses plus two monthly culture courses (chosen from those listed) until the completion of the macro level.
