The Evaluation Unit of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia was established pursuant to Law 240/2010 and Article 15 of the current Statute, and is responsible for:
- ensuring the evaluation of teaching activities, research activities, and services
- promoting the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the University’s teaching, research, and administrative activities
Pursuant to Article 2, paragraph 1, letter r) of Law 240/2010, the Evaluation Unit is assigned the functions set out in Article 14 of Legislative Decree 150/2009 (Independent Evaluation Body for Performance) regarding the evaluation procedures of structures and staff, with the aim of fostering the improvement of organisational and individual performance.
The members of the Evaluation Unit serve for three years, except for the student representative whose term lasts two years, and may be reappointed consecutively only once. The Unit is autonomous in its operations and is guaranteed access to all necessary information and data, as well as the publication and dissemination of documents, in accordance with current legislation and in compliance with confidentiality requirements.
By Rector’s Decree No. 173 of 30/04/2026, the Evaluation Committee of the University for Foreigners of Perugia has been reconstituted for the three-year period 2026–2029.
The appointment of the current members of the Evaluation Committee, pursuant to Article 15, paragraph 5, of the current Statute, is for a three-year term (from 01/05/2026 to 30/04/2029), except for the student representative, whose appointment is for two years.

The Chair of the Evaluation Unit is entitled to an annual gross remuneration of €6,972.16, excluding employer's contributions. Members of the Evaluation Unit are entitled to an annual gross remuneration of €6,507.40, excluding employer's contributions.
