Double Degree ITALI between the Master’s degree in “Italian for Teaching to Foreigners” (ItAS) and the Master’s degree in “Italian Language and Literature” (LILE) at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia

The admission requirements for the ITALI double degree programme are determined by the respective national regulations. Students admitted to the programme and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must hold a bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma, or another foreign qualification deemed suitable.

To be admitted and enrolled in the double degree programme, students must submit their application by the end of October in the year of enrolment.

Students from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who have chosen the double degree option and meet the admission requirements must submit their application (curriculum vitae, motivation letter in Italian, and application form) to the Programme Office.

Students admitted to the double degree program and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must be regularly enrolled in the Master’s degree program in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItAS).

The prerequisite for admission to the program is a good command of Italian (at least level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

To access the second year of the double degree program, students must have obtained the credits required by the study plan for the first year (60 ECTS) by September 30 of the first year at the latest. Failure to do so will result in the student being re-integrated into the standard curriculum of the relevant degree program.

Students enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia participating in the double degree programme attend two semesters (the 2nd semester of the first year and the 1st semester of the second year) of the Master's degree in Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.

The double degree mobility period may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period by submitting an application according to the annual deadlines set by the Erasmus call for applications.

During the mobility phase, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan developed by both universities and to successfully complete all required exams for a total of 60 ECTS, including part of the compulsory internship.

Students participating in the programme are not required to pay any tuition fees or other charges to the host institution. Tuition fees should be paid to the home university.

Students on mobility will enjoy the same rights and obligations as students of the host university. Prior to the mobility period, students must sign a declaration committing themselves to comply with the regulations of the host university.

Students nominated for mobility must possess the following requirements for the entire duration of their stay:

• for all students
  • regular enrolment at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia
• for students from non-EU countries
  • residence permit (if necessary, in the absence of a specific international agreement)
  • health insurance (if necessary, in the absence of a specific international agreement). Insurance certificates must be attached to the students’ files prior to departure
• for students from EU countries
  • European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

The assessment methods will be those established by the host University, as indicated in its academic regulations.

The thesis defense will take place at the student’s home University.

The composition of the examination committee will be determined by the University where the student defends the final dissertation, including possible exceptions to the relevant thesis regulations regarding the number of committee members.

The agreement coordinators may be included in the committee; in any case, at least one faculty member from the partner University must be present. Participation in the committee may also take place via remote connection.
