WARREDOC - Research

WARREDOC carries out research activities in the field of water science, with the aim of analyzing and understanding the impacts of global change and contributing to the design of effective adaptation strategies. In this context, the Center actively supports the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals through studies, analyses, indicators, and information systems dedicated to water-related issues.

To date, WARREDOC’s research activities are developed within two main, closely integrated disciplinary areas that connect water-related topics: Water & Energy and Artificial Intelligence, dedicated to technical, scientific, and environmental themes, with particular focus on water resource management, energy, data, and innovative technologies; Water & Transnational Cooperation, Society and Human Rights, focused on the cultural, social, legal, and political dimensions of environmental management, international cooperation, and human rights.

WARREDOC promotes a  scientific and cultural approach in the field of water, strengthening global cooperation, cultural diversity, gender equality, and social inclusion, in full accordance with the historical mission of the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the challenges of contemporary sustainability.
