The project aims to promote human development in Burkina Faso by reconciling social inclusion, innovation, and environmental responsibility. The functions and project activities assigned to the University for Foreigners of Perugia, as a partner, through the Warredoc center, in order to achieve the objectives and results expected from the project, are as follows:
- workshops, round tables, and joint reflection sessions at the level of university cooperation between Italy and Burkina Faso, as part of a research project—including focus groups and mapping—dedicated to building models of growth based on participatory approaches that encourage the active involvement of young people, women, and rural communities, for an active and democratic citizenship that ensures forms of inclusive development;
- research activities and a publication aimed at developing more inclusive and sustainable governance processes for development, from the perspective of knowledge and practice sharing and in coordination with the Burkina Faso Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MESRSI), which will involve five already selected national universities: Université Kizerbo of Ouagadougou, Université Norbert Zongo of Koudougou, Université Nazi Boni of Bobo-Dioulasso, Université CU-Gaoua, and Université de Dédougou.
