
Framework agreement for international academic cooperation between the Université de Caen-Normandie and the University for Foreigners of Perugia, aimed at awarding a double degree between the Bachelor's degree in "Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World" at the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the "Langues Littératures et Civilisations Étrangères et Régionales" (LLCER), Italian Track at the Université de Caen-Normandie.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who wish to enroll in the double degree program and meet the admission requirements must submit their application to the University Academic Coordinator for this double degree (application form, curriculum vitae, and motivation letter in Italian and French) at the time of enrollment in the second year of the program, by mid-November.
- be regularly enrolled
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for admission to the double degree programme
or - in the third year of the Bachelor's Degree and have acquired at least 120 ECTS credits at the time of departure for the double degree mobility
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for admission to the double degree programme
- have certified proficiency in French at a minimum B1 level (DUEF, DELF, DALF, or assessment test conducted by the partner university)
The number of students admitted to the double degree program is agreed upon annually, with a maximum of ten students per university.
The mobility period corresponds to the third academic year of the degree program, is indivisible, and may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period (by submitting an application according to the annual Erasmus call deadlines).
During the mobility phase, students are required to attend the courses outlined in the study plan developed by the two universities and to pass all required exams, for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including the mandatory internship.
Students participating in the double degree program
- will be enrolled at both institutions during the academic year and will pay tuition fees only at their home university
- will be regarded by both parties as fully enrolled students, with the same benefits, rights, and responsibilities as regular students. In particular, they will have access to courses, tutorials, laboratory internships, seminars, and conferences
- will therefore hold student status at both institutions
- must comply with the internal regulations of the host institution and all legal obligations of the host country
- must comply with the legislation in force in the host country, particularly regarding health insurance and social security
Both universities will manage all administrative enrollment formalities and handle the student files for incoming students from the partner university through their respective student offices and academic coordinators for the double degree program.
Students are required to attend classes regularly and take the corresponding exams according to the procedures established by the host university’s regulations.
During the period of study abroad, students must comply with the rules in force at the host institution regarding course organization, exam procedures, and assessment methods.
Courses will be conducted in French.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia take a final examination at the University of Caen-Normandie at the end of their mobility period (third year), in accordance with the regulations of the University of Caen-Normandie for the conferment of the degree. As part of the same examination, students also complete a final project, preferably supervised by the University for Foreigners of Perugia, for the purpose of obtaining the LiCIMoD degree.
The final thesis may be on the same topics as those indicated for the final examination at the University of Caen-Normandie.
By way of exception to the thesis regulations of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the final examination at the University of Caen-Normandie is therefore regarded as the thesis defense also for the University for Foreigners of Perugia, provided that the examination board includes, even in remote mode, a faculty member from the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
Students must in any case submit a formal thesis application via email to the Student Office of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, pay the relevant fee, and send a copy of the final thesis before the defense at the University of Caen-Normandie.
