
The Bachelor's degree in International and Advertising Communication (ComIP), offered by the Department of International Human and Social Sciences, addresses the most current needs of the job market by training communication professionals with strong communication, digital, and language skills. Graduates will be able to work in the fields of advertising, corporate communication, non-profit and institutional communication, within organizations operating at both national and international levels.
The programme is organized into two tracks:
- the International Communication track (COMIP-I) provides graduates with expertise in the strategies and techniques of communication adopted by international organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. In addition to core courses shared by both tracks, this curriculum includes subjects in law and political science, with a focus on multicultural societies and the use of digital technologies.
- the Advertising Communication track (COMIP-P) develops skills in corporate communication, marketing, social and advertising communication. Core courses cover linguistic, semiotic, business and economics, and digital communication areas.
Course Information
- acquire theoretical knowledge and methodological-professional skills in the fields of communication and language, economics, law, and social sciences
- gain a deep understanding of the psychological, psychosocial, and sociological dynamics of communication
- develop knowledge relating to mass communication systems and digital communication
- acquire skills relevant to designing and developing communication plans
- develop strong abilities in managing both internal and external communication flows
- enhance proficiency in the strategic use of the Italian language, with a focus on writing promotional and advertising texts for dissemination through various communication channels, both digital and traditional
- gain in-depth knowledge of two European Union languages and their respective communication-specific sectoral languages
- develop specific IT skills, with a focus on information technologies
- acquire skills for intercultural communication
The programme trains communication professionals who work in press offices and public relations offices, institutes for social and market research, publishing companies and news organisations, radio and television stations, web service agencies, local authorities, foundations, political parties, trade unions, and associations at both national and transnational levels.
The skills acquired may also enable graduates to start their own entrepreneurial ventures.
More specifically, the International Communication curriculum prepares students to take on roles in:
- international cooperation organisations
- citizenship offices and services supporting multicultural coexistence
- organisations operating internationally in the field of cultural relations
- publishing companies or editorial divisions of international organisations/institutions
- institutions and international organisations for the promotion and development of analogue and digital media
The Advertising Communication curriculum, on the other hand, is designed to train highly qualified professionals to work in:
- advertising agencies (art director, copywriter, media planner)
- marketing and communication consultancy agencies
- event management agencies
- companies with an international market focus
- digital communication agencies and community management services
- publishing companies

"On Monday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. in room B (Valitutti building), there will be a meeting held by the native speaker language instructors, who are responsible for language conversation classes. During the meeting, the various conversation courses available this semester and the corresponding credits will be explained.
