By Rector’s Decree (D.R. 192 of 19 May 2026), the Academic Senate of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia has been reconstituted for the three-year period 2026–2029.
The Academic Senate is the governing body for academic and scientific matters of the University. It is responsible for setting direction, planning, coordinating, and connecting the University’s teaching, research, and cultural activities.
Its members include the Rector, Department Directors, and various representatives (Centre Directors, faculty, CEL, technical-administrative staff, and students).
The Director General, who serves as secretary, and the Deputy Rector participate without voting rights.

Compensation: the members of the Academic Senate, with the exception of ex officio members (Rector, Department Directors, Directors of Schools and Independent Centres), receive an attendance fee of €26.00 gross pursuant to the resolution of the Board of Governors adopted on 21 June 1991. This amount is reduced by 10% as established by Article 6, paragraph 3 of Legislative Decree of 31 May 2010, no. 78, converted by Law of 30 July 2010, no. 122.
Pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 33/2013, as amended by Legislative Decree no. 97/2016, for those holding unpaid positions there is no longer an obligation to publish the data referred to in Article 14 of Legislative Decree no. 33/2013 (see ANAC Resolution no. 241/2017).
