Sabrina Stroppa has been a full professor of Italian Literature at the University for Foreigners of Perugia since October 1, 2021, after having served as a researcher and associate professor at the University of Turin (since 1999). She is the director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature, and Arts in the World (first term 2022-2025; second term from 2/14/2025, DR 529/2024). She has taught literary subjects, Latin and Greek in high schools, as well as literature teaching in teacher training programs (from 2001 to 2014). Her main research areas include Petrarch, Renaissance commentaries on Petrarchan works in the vernacular, 17th-century spiritual literature, Metastasio, and contemporary Italian poetry.
