Biographical Note

Graduated in Building Engineering-Architecture, in 2023 she obtained a PhD in Energy and Sustainable Development at the University of Perugia. In 2022, she spent four months as a Visiting Student Research Collaborator (VSRC) at Princeton University (New Jersey, USA), where she deepened her research activities in the field of innovative materials for the built environment. During her doctorate and in the two subsequent years as a post-doctoral researcher, she has participated and continues to participate in national (PRIN, FISR, and other ministerial programs) and international research projects, mainly funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs. Her scientific activities concern (i) the development and characterization of advanced materials for optimizing the energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings, including solutions for passive and radiative cooling of urban surfaces, and (ii) the analysis of indoor and outdoor environmental comfort using a multiphysics approach, with special attention to thermal and visual aspects. Thanks also to collaboration with national and international industrial partners, she has consolidated a scientific profile that integrates theoretical, numerical, and experimental skills, as well as the ability to transfer technology and enhance intellectual property, as demonstrated by the granting of two utility model patents. The main results of her research activity are collected in publications in high-level international journals, in which she appears as first author in more than half of the contributions.
