“Antiquam exquirite matrem” – ‘Seek the ancient mother.’ These words, taken from the Aeneid and engraved in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Gallenga, evoke Apollo’s response to Aeneas, who, in prayer, asked which direction to follow on his journey. Today, this motto has become a symbol and a beacon for thousands of students from over a hundred nationalities, who find at the University for Foreigners of Perugia a place where the roots of culture and knowledge intertwine with innovation and inclusion, inspiring new generations.
