UmbriaSostenibile is the podcast created within the Umbria Network for Sustainable Development, a project promoted by the Umbria Region to foster more coherent and sustainability-oriented public policies.
This initiative brings together a regional network of stakeholders, including: ARPA Umbria, the University of Perugia, the University for Foreigners of Perugia through the WARREDOC centre, ANCI Umbria, Felcos Umbria, Sviluppumbria, and the Umbria Technology Park, with the aim of building more effective and integrated governance, connecting regional institutions, municipalities, territories, and local actors around a shared goal: sustainable development.
This process also aims to significantly enhance active participation among the younger generations, entrusting young people with the creation of innovative and inclusive communication tools able to engage with contemporary audiences.
Within this context, the University for Foreigners of Perugia contributes to the podcast, providing a place where memory and experience meet, linking the present with visions for the future.
Episode by episode, UmbriaSostenibile gives a voice to those actively shaping the future of the region—administrators, experts, academics, and representatives of institutions—transforming sustainability from an abstract concept into a concrete, shared challenge of daily life.

The guest for this episode is Federico Gori, Mayor of Montecchio and President of ANCI Umbria, formerly coordinator of the association’s small municipalities.
