The role played by national institutions, international and non-governmental organizations in the management of displaced persons and migratory flows in Italy in the post-World War II period: a possible example of multi-track diplomacy.
The research project aims to analyze the methods of managing population movements that affected Italy in the post-World War II period, thanks to the activities carried out by the multiple actors involved, in a process of multi-track diplomacy that saw institutions, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other entities collaborate on multiple levels. The research to be undertaken specifically aims to analyze the work carried out by international organizations that in Italy offered support to the local population and refugees during the sensitive historical period under study.
