New linguistic approaches to challenges in the field of theatrical translation
The project focuses on the critical analysis of relevant linguistic elements within the field of cultural transposition of theatrical texts, proposing an approach based on the intersection of the disciplinary paradigms of Linguistics, Translation Studies, and Sociolinguistics. This investigation arises from the observation of systemic issues such as the dynamics of power in the global hierarchy of languages, the economy of accessibility of an artistic product, and the resulting implications in terms of faithfulness to its cultural identity; areas whose re-examination is situated within the academic and ideological framework of Translanguaging.
