The application of the Community Based Learning approach to Italian language courses at the University for Foreigners of Perugia

The project aims to research glottodidactic practices designed to develop intercultural competence in students of Italian as a second language. Although the school environment in which the students study is multilingual and multicultural, after an initial preliminary analysis, a lack of awareness emerges regarding their own culture, the new culture they are learning, and the relationship between the two. For this reason, it is necessary to research and develop glottodidactic practices that can increase students' awareness and, consequently, improve their intercultural competence, both in the short and long term.

Research Interests
