Double Degree Programme ITALI between the Master's Degree in "Italian for Teaching to Foreigners" (ItAS) and the Master's Degree in "Italian Language and Literature" (LILE) at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia

The admission requirements for the ITALI double degree program are those established by the relevant national regulations. Students admitted to the program and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must hold a bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma, or another foreign qualification recognized as equivalent.

To be admitted and enroll in the double degree program, students must submit their application by the end of October in the year of enrollment.

Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia who have chosen the double degree option and meet the admission requirements must submit their application (curriculum vitae, motivation letter in Italian, and application form) to the degree program office.

Students admitted to the double degree programme and enrolled at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia must be regularly registered in the Master’s degree course in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItAS).

The prerequisite for enrolment in the programme is a good knowledge of Italian (at least level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

To progress to the second year of the double degree programme, students must have obtained the credits required by the study plan for the first year (60 ECTS) no later than 30 September of the first year. If this requirement is not met, students will be returned to the standard institutional study plan for their respective degree programme.

Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia participating in the double degree program attend two semesters (the 2nd semester of the first year and the 1st semester of the second year) of the Master's course in Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.

The double degree mobility period may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period, by applying according to the annual deadlines specified in the Erasmus call for applications.

During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses provided in the study plan developed by the two universities and to pass all the examinations for a total of 60 ECTS credits, including part of the mandatory internship.

Students participating in the program are not required to pay any tuition fees or other charges at the host university. Tuition fees must be paid to their home university.

Students on mobility will have the same rights and obligations as students of the host university. Prior to the start of the mobility period, students are required to sign a statement undertaking to comply with the regulations of the host university.

Students participating in the mobility program must meet the following requirements throughout the duration of their stay:

• for all students
  • regular enrolment at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia
• for students from non-EU countries
  • residence permit (if required and in the absence of a specific international agreement)
  • health insurance (if required and in the absence of a specific international agreement). Insurance certificates must be attached to the students' files prior to departure
• for students from EU countries
  • European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

The assessment methods will be those established by the host university, as outlined in its academic regulations.

The thesis defense will take place at the student's home university.

The composition of the examination board will be determined by the university where the student defends the final examination, with the possibility of exceptions to the thesis regulations regarding the number of board members.

The board may include representatives of the agreement; in all cases, at least one faculty member from the partner university must be included. Participation in the board may be carried out remotely where necessary.
