Functions
The Joint Academic-Student Committee assesses whether:
- the Degree Programme’s design maintains appropriate focus on the roles and skills required for students’ employment prospects and personal and professional development
- the intended learning outcomes are effective in relation to the relevant roles and skills
- the teaching activities of academic staff, methods for imparting knowledge and skills, teaching materials and resources, laboratories, classrooms, and facilities are effective in achieving the learning objectives to the desired standard
- the examination methods appropriately verify the outcomes achieved with respect to the intended learning outcomes
- the Annual Review leads to effective corrective actions on Degree Programmes in subsequent years
- student satisfaction surveys are administered, analysed, and utilised effectively
- the University provides the public with up-to-date, impartial, objective, quantitative and qualitative information on each Degree Programme offered, by publishing the public sections of the SUA-CdS in a regular and accessible manner.
