From 14 to 20 September 2026, the “Week of Caretaking” returns to Perugia with a new edition dedicated to small and large acts of stewardship and love for the city of Perugia. This initiative aims to encourage every citizen to become a caretaker of their city through concrete, everyday acts of care and affection towards the places that shape civic life.
The Università per Stranieri di Perugia is joining the initiative on Friday, 18 September, with a clean-up and landscaping activity in Sant’Angelo Park and the creation of an intercultural medicinal herb garden. In the square in front of Palazzo Gallenga, the University will also host a community lunch enlivened by language tandems with international students and cultural exchanges on themes of the environment and food, within the setting of the Mercato dell'Arco Etrusco organized by CIA Umbria, in collaboration with local restaurant owners from the Associazione Distretto Garibaldi.
