Services Available for Students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)

diagnosis of Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) pursuant to Law 170/2010

which must:

• include the diagnostic codes
• be issued by the National Health Service or by a private center accredited by your region of residence
• if issued by a non-accredited private specialist, it must be accompanied by a certificate of conformity issued by the National Health Service
• be issued after reaching legal age (18 years) or within the previous three years
• for students possessing a clinical certificate issued by authorities in other countries, official documentation legalized by the Italian diplomatic-consular authorities abroad and accompanied by an Italian translation by an authorized official translator must be provided
• for Erasmus students with disabilities or other recognized disorders, clinical documentation must be accompanied by a statement of conformity and validity issued by the Disability Service of the home University

The University promotes inclusive teaching that recognizes and values individual differences. From the outset, we aim to establish a dialogue between the student, the SDDA, and faculty members to identify suitable study methods and effective teaching strategies.

Compensatory tools and dispensatory measures are individually agreed upon in collaboration with the SDDA, which assesses their necessity based on clinical documentation and the individual’s profile.

These measures are then formally communicated to faculty members by the delegated lecturer, authorizing their implementation during examinations.
