The event is focused on the theme of travel which, in literary imagination, has always had a dual function: representing the purpose of a journey, but also measuring the distance that separates us from unknown realities, and serving as an incentive to seek the new and the future.
Following this conceptual thread, the conference aims to be an opportunity for a "journey" as an instrument of knowledge, within the complex system of the landscape, as well as in the historical and cultural system and the social and spiritual dimension of certain Italian and foreign realities, both past and present.
On the first day of the conference, the path of itineraries and experiences that have profoundly shaped European civilization and remain vital even today, despite having evolved and changed, will be retraced.
The second day will focus on recently developed forms and paths of mobility, presenting the most effective strategies to turn these into opportunities for development for the areas where they take place, highlighting how this type of strategy is part of a broader project, with social, political, and economic implications.
