Framework agreement for international academic cooperation between the Université de Caen-Normandie and the Università per Stranieri di Perugia aimed at awarding a double degree: the Bachelor's in "Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World" from Università per Stranieri di Perugia and the "Langues Littératures et Civilisations Étrangères et Régionales" (LLCER), Italian track, from Université de Caen-Normandie.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia who wish to enroll in the double degree program and meet the admission requirements must submit their application to the Administrative Office (application form, curriculum vitae, and motivation letter in Italian and French) at the time of registration for the second year of their course, by the end of October.
- be regularly enrolled
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for the double degree program
or - in the third year of the Bachelor's Degree and have earned at least 120 ECTS credits by the time of departure for the double degree mobility
- in the second year of the Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Culture in the Digital World (LiCIMoD) at the time of application for the double degree program
- have proven proficiency in French at a minimum level of B1 (DUEF, DELF, DALF, or an assessment test by the partner university)
The number of students admitted to the double degree program is determined annually by agreement and includes a maximum of ten students per university.
The mobility period covers the third academic year of the degree program, is not divisible, and may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period (by applying in accordance with the annual Erasmus call for applications deadlines).
During the mobility period, students are required to attend the courses specified in the study plan drafted by both universities and to pass all the required exams, for a total of 60 ECTS, including the mandatory internship.
Students participating in the double degree programme
- will be enrolled at both institutions during the academic year and will pay tuition fees only at their home university
- will be regarded by both parties as fully registered students, with the same benefits, rights, and responsibilities as regular students. In particular, they are entitled to participate in courses, tutorials, laboratory internships, seminars, and conferences
- will therefore have student status at both institutions
- must comply with the internal regulations of the host institution and all legal obligations of the host country
- must comply with the legislation of the host country, particularly with regard to health insurance and social security
Both universities will handle all administrative enrollment procedures and the management of student records from the partner university through their respective administrative offices and programme coordinators for the double degree.
Students are required to attend classes regularly and to take the relevant exams according to the procedures established by the host university's academic regulations.
During their period of study abroad, students must comply with the rules of the host institution regarding teaching organization as well as examination procedures and assessment methods.
The courses will be conducted in French.
Students of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia are required to sit a final examination at Université de Caen-Normandie at the end of their mobility period (third year), in accordance with the regulations of Université de Caen-Normandie for the awarding of the degree. As part of the same examination, students must submit a final thesis, preferably agreed upon with the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, for the purposes of obtaining the LiCIMoD degree.
The final thesis may address the same topics foreseen for the final examination at Université de Caen-Normandie.
As an exception to the thesis regulations of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, the final examination at Université de Caen-Normandie is also considered as the thesis defense for the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, provided that a member of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia faculty participates in the assessment committee, either in person or via telematic means.
Students must in any case formally apply for thesis submission by email to the student office of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, pay the related fee, and send a copy of the final thesis before the thesis defense at Université de Caen-Normandie.
