The Evaluation Unit of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia was established pursuant to Law 240/2010 and Article 15 of the current Statute, and is responsible for:
- ensuring the evaluation of teaching, research activities and services
- promoting the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the University’s teaching, research and administrative activities
Pursuant to Article 2, paragraph 1, letter r) of Law 240/2010, the functions assigned to the Evaluation Unit are those set out in Article 14 of Legislative Decree 150/2009 (Independent Performance Evaluation Body) concerning the evaluation of structures and staff, with the aim of enhancing organisational and individual performance.
The members of the Evaluation Unit serve for three years, with the exception of the student representative whose mandate lasts two years. Each mandate is renewable only once consecutively. The Evaluation Unit operates independently and is granted access to the necessary information and data, as well as the right to publicise and disseminate its decisions, in compliance with current legislation and the protection of confidentiality.
By Rector’s Decree No. 173 of 30/04/2026, the Evaluation Board of the University for Foreigners of Perugia has been reconstituted for the three-year period 2026–2029.
The term of office for the current members of the Evaluation Board, pursuant to Article 15, paragraph 5, of the current Statute, lasts three years (from 01/05/2026 to 30/04/2029), with the exception of the student representative, whose term is two years.

The coordinator of the Evaluation Committee is entitled to an annual gross compensation of €6,972.16, excluding employer contributions. Members of the Evaluation Committee are entitled to an annual gross compensation of €6,507.40, excluding employer contributions.
