The University for Foreigners of Perugia joined the Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE) as an ordinary member with Rectoral Decree no.120 of April 27, 2020, ratified by the Academic Senate and the Board of Directors for the relevant aspects, in the meetings held on May 15 and May 22, 2020, respectively.
APRE (APRE - Agency for the Promotion of European Research) is a non-profit association founded in 1990, whose main objectives are as follows:
- to encourage the participation of its members in research and innovation programs funded by the European Union through information services on calls and funding opportunities, support and assistance activities for the submission of project proposals, organization of training activities, and implementation of networking and partner search initiatives
- to foster collaborations, exchanges of best practices, and transfer of research results, both nationally and at the European level, in the field of research, development, and technological innovation, through the organization of meetings, roundtables, and working groups, as well as through regional offices active in many Italian regions
