Training and refresher course on narrative medicine

Narrative Based Medicine: issues, theories and practices - Academic Year 2025-2026 (second edition)

Format: in person

Dates: October 25, 2025 (Saturday), November 8, 2025 (Saturday), November 15, 2025 (Saturday)

Class times: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM / 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Total duration: 20 hours

Location: Norcia - Digipass

Participants: maximum 30

Cost: free registration

On course days, lunch catering will be provided.
On the last day of the course, in the afternoon, a cultural visit will be organized in the area (participation is optional and free).

  • healthcare and social care workers
  • all those involved in care activities at a professional or support level, with specific reference to individuals involved in the management of cases related to traumatic and post-traumatic syndrome

Possession of a secondary school diploma.

Attention: the following priority criteria will be applied for candidate admission:

  1. residence in the area affected by the 2016 Central Italy earthquake, as defined in Annexes 1, 2, and 2-bis of Decree-Law of 17 October 2016, No. 189, converted into law on 15 December 2016, No. 229
  2. possession of a university degree
  3. chronological order of applications

The University for Foreigners of Perugia will issue participants a certificate of attendance with the recognition of 3 University Educational Credits (CFU) in the SSD M-PSI/01 (now PSIC-01/A) "General Psychology", subject to meeting the attendance requirement (80% of total class hours) and passing the final assessment.

The course has been included in the 2025 Regional Health Training Plan. 20 CME credits will be issued by USL Umbria 1, subject to compliance with the attendance requirement (90% of classes) and passing the final assessment (75% correct answers). CME credits are provided for all healthcare professions.
