Insurance coverage

The University for Foreigners of Perugia guarantees insurance coverage for its students through an Accident Insurance policy, valid from 06/30/2025 to 06/30/2027.

The insurance company undertakes to compensate sums for any accidents suffered by students belonging to the categories described below, which occur during institutional activities.

In more detail:

for students enrolled in undergraduate, master’s, post-graduate training and specialization courses, and for foreign students enrolled in Italian language courses, the insurance company is required to reimburse:

  • compensation in the event of an accident resulting in permanent disability, for the insured amount of €100,000.00
  • compensation in the event of an accident resulting in death, for the insured amount of €100,000.00
  • reimbursement of medical expenses incurred as a result of an accident up to the limit of €2,500.00

for students with a collaboration contract (150 hours), as well as PhD students, postdocs, research grant holders, research awardees, interns under Law 196/1997, the insurance company is required to reimburse:

  • compensation in the event of an accident resulting in permanent disability, for the insured amount of €155,000.00
  • compensation in the event of an accident resulting in death, for the insured amount of €155,000.00
  • reimbursement of medical expenses incurred as a result of an accident up to the limit of €2,500.00

For accidental damage caused by students to third parties, involving death, personal injury or property damage, within the context of institutional activities, a Civil Liability Policy is in force from 06/30/2025 to 06/30/2027.

The insurance coverage applies to students enrolled in undergraduate, master’s, post-graduate training and specialization courses, as well as foreign students enrolled in Italian language courses, students with a collaboration contract (150 hours), PhD students, postdocs, research grant holders and related categories, and interns under Law 196/1997.
