Italian culture courses

As part of the Italian language and culture courses, there are also culture courses offered not only to students enrolled in language courses, but also to enthusiasts and interested individuals, Italians and foreigners, from various disciplines.

The courses are held in person, but it is also possible to attend remotely (synchronous lessons), allowing active student participation and the opportunity to interact with teachers (except for off-site art lessons, which are reserved for in-person students).

The courses last one month (12 hours with a variable weekly schedule) and are activated with a minimum of 8 students.

Active courses in the quarter April - May - June 2026

Course fees

The registration fee for culture courses is €150.

Students already enrolled in a language course are entitled to a 50% discount on the course fee and therefore pay €75.

In December, the courses last 3 weeks and the fee is reduced by 25%.

The minimum required level to access the courses is level B2 of the CEFR.

Foreign students must present a certificate or proof of knowledge of the Italian language (at least level B2) issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia or a similar institution.

Any requests submitted by students at A2 and B1 levels may be subject to specific authorization from the Director of the Department of Italian Language, Literature and Arts in the World, by sending an email to didattica.lingua@unistrapg.it.

At the end of the course, students can request a certificate of attendance.
The certificate will be issued only after the administration has verified regular attendance (at least 70% of the lessons).

In C1 and C2 level courses, the Italian language proficiency certificate can only be obtained if you attend 3 language courses plus 2 monthly culture courses (chosen from the list) until the completion of the macro level.
