
Cooperation agreement with the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia for obtaining the ITALI double degree in:
- Master’s Degree in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItAS) - at the University for Foreigners of Perugia
- Master’s Degree in Italian Language and Literature (LILE) - at the Faculty of Humanities and Philosophy of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia.
The ITALI double degree requires the acquisition of a total of 120 ECTS credits.
The admission requirements for the ITALI double degree program are those established by the respective national regulations. Students admitted to the program and enrolled at the University for Foreigners of Perugia must have a bachelor’s degree or a three-year university diploma, or another qualification obtained abroad that is recognized as suitable.
To be admitted and enroll in the double degree program, students must submit their application by the end of October of the enrollment year.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia who have chosen the double degree and meet the admission requirements must submit their application (curriculum vitae, motivation letter in Italian, and application form) to the degree program office.
Students admitted to the double degree program and enrolled at the University for Foreigners of Perugia must be regularly enrolled in the Master's Degree course in Italian for Teaching to Foreigners (ItAS).
The prerequisite for admission to the program is a good knowledge of Italian (at least level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
To gain access to the second year of the double degree program, students must have obtained the credits required by the study plan for the first year (60 ECTS), by September 30 of the first year at the latest. If this does not occur, they will be reintegrated into the institutional study plan of the relevant degree course.
Students of the University for Foreigners of Perugia participating in the double degree program attend two semesters (2nd semester of the first year, 1st semester of the second year) of the master’s degree course in Italian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.
The double degree mobility period may be combined with an Erasmus+ mobility period, by submitting an application according to the deadlines set annually by the Erasmus call for applications.
During the mobility phase, students are required to attend the courses provided in the study plan drawn up by the two universities, passing all exams for a total of 60 ECTS, including part of the mandatory internship.
Students participating in the program are not required to pay any fees or charges to the host university. Enrollment fees will be paid to the home university.
Students on mobility will enjoy the same rights and duties as the students of the host university. Prior to the mobility, students must sign a declaration committing to respect the regulations of the host university.
Students sent on mobility must meet the following requirements for the entire duration of their stay:
- for all students
- regular enrollment at the University for Foreigners of Perugia
- for students from non-EU countries
- residence permit (if required in the absence of a specific international agreement)
- health insurance (if required in the absence of a specific international agreement). The insurance certificates must be attached to the students’ files before departure
- for students from EU countries
- European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
The methods for assessing academic performance are those established by the host University as indicated in its academic regulations.
The thesis defense will take place at the home University.
The composition of the examination board will be determined by the University where the student presents the final exam, possibly deviating from the relevant thesis regulations with regard to the number of members.
The representatives of the agreement may be included in the board; in any case, at least one professor from the partner University must be a member. Participation in the board may also take place online.
