Credit is the unit of measurement of the overall study period requested to the student according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
The courses of Italian language and culture are structured along the lines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) being elementary, intermediate, advanced and are divided into two levels.

Students can also apply for certification of ECTS credits of the individual teachings active in the advanced courses of Italian language and culture (C1 and C2) of three months once they have passed the final examination. The table of equivalence is as follows:
