First Level Certificate DILS-PG for Teaching Italian as a Second Language: an opportunity to improve teaching knowledge and skills

The University for Foreigners is organizing its first Erasmus Staff Week event, specifically dedicated to the DILS.

During the course participants will be able, using an exam DILS-PG – First Level past paper, to systematize basic theoretical knowledge related to language teaching and metalanguage. At the same time, they will be able to develop methodological-didactic awareness and practical skills useful for teaching in an effective and targeted manner. They will also have the opportunity to reflect on how important it is to thoroughly understand the culture of the country whose language they teach, taking into account the changes that have occurred in recent years. Finally, the course will allow teachers interested in obtaining the DILS-PG level I certification in "Teaching Italian to Foreigners" to become familiar with the format of the test itself.

Who is it for?

Lecturers and teachers of Italian language at universities, public schools, Italian Institutes of Culture, with a minumum off 12 and a maximum of 25 participants admitted.

Dates and Course delivery

The event will take place in person at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, in the seat of Palazzo Gallenga, from June 10 to June 13 2024.

Registration costs

Admitted participants are exempted from the payment  of the Registration fee and all services included in the official programme, such as coffee and lunch breaks and the social activities.
Erasmus+ STT funds shall be used to cover the costs related to transportation and accommodation.

Application procedure 

The registration form, signed by the applicant and converted in pdf format, shall be emailed to: erasmus@unistrapg.it

Application deadline

The registration form and the attachments shall be submitted by 7 April 2024

In case the applications exceed the maximum number of participants admitted in the event (25), the selection will be made on the basis of the order in which applications are received.
