STA – Staff Mobility for Teaching

The Erasmus + Programme Staff Mobility for Teaching promotes international mobility for teaching and training activities for university teaching staff at a Higher Education Institute of one of the countries participating in the Erasmus + Programme with the objectives of offering teachers opportunities for updating and professional growth promote the exchange of skills and experiences on teaching methodologies

Requisites

  1. The Home institution must hold the Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education
  2. There must be a valid Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement between the Home and the Host Institution
  3. A Mobility Agreement must have been signed before the beginning of the mobility.

Duration and Mobility period

A teaching period between two Programme countries must include a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 2 months (excluding travelling time). During your stay abroad, the teaching activity must comprise a minimum of 8 hours of actual teaching time. Combined mobility (training + teaching) shall include a minimum of 4 hours for teaching + 4 hours of training. The mobility period shall be determined with the appointed staff of the hosting institution.

Mobility Agreement

Before beginning the teaching period, the beneficiary, the Home and the Host institution must approve a Mobility Agreement (doc). This document sets out:

  1. the mobility period;
  2. the teaching plan
  3. the mobility objectives

The aforementioned details must be agreed by the mobility beneficiary with the contact person identified by the university for Foreigners of Perugia.

Financial support

EU grants provide a contribution to your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad; if your teaching period abroad is between Programme countries as higher education staff, your sending institution will be responsible for making all payments. If you come from a business or organisation, the HEI that invited you to teach takes care of the payments.

How to apply

Once selected by the Home institution, the beneficiary of the mobility shall be officially nominated by the Home Institiution; following the nomination, the staff of the Erasmus and International Mobility office of the University for Foreigners of Perugia will ask the beneficiary to:

  1. fill in the mobility questionnaire (doc)
  2. submit the questionnaire to erasmus@unistrapg,it
  3. submit a draft the Erasmus+ Mobility Agrement (doc) that shall be lately approved by the Erasmus coordinator of both Home and Host Institutions

STT – Staff Mobility for Training

The Erasmus+/KA1 Program allows staff working at this University to benefit from a training period at higher education institutions holding ECHE and/or at companies present in one of the countries participating in the Programme.

The objectives of training mobility (STT) are:

  • provide opportunities for professional and personal growth
  • enable beneficiaries to transfer skills and know-how, acquire practical skills and learn good practices
  • contribute to consolidating cooperation between higher education institutions and businesses
  • increase language skills

Participation in conventions, conferences, seminars and workshops is not permitted.
