Selection Criteria EILCs 2013/14

The Erasmus Intensive Language Courses (EILC) are specialised courses in less widely used and less taught languages organised in the countries where these languages are spoken.

The initiative, co-financed by the European Commission, offers Erasmus students the opportunity to study for one month in the country itself, the language of the community before starting the true Erasmus period.

Who can participate

The EILCs are organised for two levels of linguistic knowledge (level I: beginners; level II: intermediate) for all of those students who take part in the LLP/Erasmus programme, and who have been accepted to study in Italy.

Comenius Language Assistants (future language teachers) can also participate, provided that there is a surplus of places on the course.

The application must be officially submitted by the Erasmus office/Erasmus coordinator of the Home University by the means of the new online application procedure within the dates defined for each academic year (by the 1 June 2013 for the summer period, by the 31st October 2013 for the winter period).
Further information on courses and application forms are available on the web site of the European Community

Selected applicants do not have to pay the host Institution any kind of tuition fee. Apart from the Erasmus grant, a supplementary mobility grant for participating in EILC may be awarded and paid by the respective sending Higher education institution.

The University for Foreigners Perugia organises these courses together with the Italian LLP/Erasmus Agency over two periods: a) summer (during the months of July, August and September) specially designed for students with scholarships for the first six months; b) winter (during the months of January and February) specially designed for students with scholarships for the second six months.
