Prerequisiti

Comprehension of oral and written English at least at CEFR level B2. If necessary, and especially if indicated during initial interviews, students must make use of the peer language tutoring service offered by the University.

Knowledge and Understanding

Acquire basic knowledge of the fundamental elements of EU law and diplomacy for sustainability and related policies.

Develop the skills necessary to analyse the main features and most relevant phenomena of EU law and diplomacy for sustainability .

Applying Knowledge and Understanding

Be able to use acquired knowledge to develop a critical understanding of the main dynamics characterising EU law and diplomacy for sustainability.

Contenuto del corso

The course aims to explain the most relevant features of EU law and policy for sustainability, including case studies and practical activities. The goal is to foster a critical and analytical understanding of EU law and diplomacy for sustainability and to identify its key characteristics.

In this context, particular attention will be given to the regulation of the functioning of the EU and the internal and external aspects of EU regulation and policy for sustainability.

Metodi didattici

For Attending Students

Interactive classes, including case studies and practical activities, involving individual and group work, aiming to provide students with the elements and tools necessary to understand and analyse EU law and policy for sustainability.

For Non-Attending Students

In addition to making course materials used in classes available—primarily through the University’s eLearning platform (LOL)—non-attending students will have the opportunity of dedicated seminar sessions or hours.

The digital platforms LOL and Microsoft Teams will be used and may also support distance learning methods, in accordance with the guidelines set out by the Degree Program Boards.

Students who have submitted certification of disability or specific learning disorders (SLD) to the Registrar’s Office are advised to contact the instructor at the beginning of the course—also through the University Service for Disability and SLD (https://www.unistrapg.it/it/vivere-il-campus/servizi/servizi-per-studenti-con-dsa-e-disabilita, mail: sdda@unistrapg.it)—to arrange any necessary compensatory or exemption measures and adapt teaching accordingly.

Metodi di accertamento

Assessment methods are designed to verify the adequate acquisition of the tools and knowledge necessary to understand and deepen the key features and elements of EU law and diplomacy for sustainability. To this end, the final exam will aim to assess the level of knowledge and skills acquired by the student, including through the analysis of concrete cases, which will help to reconstruct the fundamental categories and elements characterising EU law and diplomacy for sustainability.

For students with disability or SLD (Specific Learning Disabilities) certifications, the exam modalities will be agreed upon based on specific needs, in consultation with the University Service for Disability and SLD.
