A.Y. 2011-2012

The University for Foreigners of Perugia has set up a first level International post-graduate degree in the tourism sector mainly focused in Hospitality and Tour Operating. The course and internship will be carried out in collaboration with the “Italian Centre for Studies on Tourism and Tourism Promotion” of Assisi. Federalberghi Italia, Federalberghi Umbria, Federalberghi Perugia and Associazione Direttori d’Albergo of Umbria have adhered to the project; the course is also sponsored by the Comune di Assisi.

Course Objectives and Career Opportunities

The aim of this course is to develop professional managers and middle-managers, who are able to deal with the demand and can always grow and gain new skills and qualities in managing and organizing touristic services.

The program has been structured as follows:

• 50 hours of Professional English
• 250 hours of specialized modules (Tourism System, International Marketing, Hospitality & Tour Operating Management, Geopolitics)
• 5 months internship in the leading hotels and companies in the sector

The head of the Master is prof. Emidio Diodato.

Course structure

The course has a duration of 8 months (March – November 2012).

75% of attendance is obligatory in classroom activities as well as during the internship up until the completion and accomplishment of the course.

Classes will be held at the University for Foreigners of Perugia and at the “Italian Centre for Studies on Tourism and Tourism Promotion” of Assisi.
